**Job Summary:**
The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for leading software development teams, overseeing engineering projects, and ensuring the delivery of high\-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. This role combines technical leadership, people management, project planning, and collaboration with product and business stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead, manage, and mentor software engineers and development teams.
* Plan, prioritize, and oversee software development projects from concept to deployment.
* Establish engineering standards, development processes, and best practices.
* Review system designs, technical solutions, and code quality.
* Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
* Ensure software projects are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
* Monitor team performance, productivity, project progress, and technical risks.
* Identify and resolve technical challenges, project dependencies, and development blockers.
* Promote secure, scalable, maintainable, and high\-performance software development.
* Support recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development of engineers.
* Manage engineering resources, budgets, and project requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement in development methodologies, tools, and processes.
* Oversee software testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support.
* Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve engineering capabilities.
* Ensure compliance with company security, coding, and technology standards.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 5\+ years of experience in software development, with experience in a technical leadership or management role.
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architecture, databases, APIs, and cloud technologies.
* Experience managing and mentoring software engineering teams.
* Strong problem\-solving, project management, and decision\-making skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder\-management abilities.
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
* Relevant technical or management certifications are an advantage.
