User security and permission management, and database troubleshooting. **Database Engineer (Oracle/SQL) Job Summary:** Responsible for designing, developing, administering, and maintaining enterprise databases using Oracle and/or SQL Server, ensuring high performance, security, continuous availability, and data integrity to support organizational applications and operational systems. **Responsibilities:** * Database Design & Architecture. * Administration and maintenance of Oracle and/or SQL Server databases. * Database performance tuning and SQL query optimization. * System monitoring and ensuring high availability. * Backup and recovery implementation. * User access and security management. * Database troubleshooting and technical issue resolution. * Development and maintenance of stored procedures, triggers, and functions. * Supporting development teams in writing and optimizing queries. * Implementing database migration and upgrade plans. * Preparing performance reports and periodic monitoring. **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * 3–8 years of experience in database administration. * Strong experience with Oracle Database and/or Microsoft SQL Server. * Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL or T\-SQL. * Experience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR). * Good understanding of operating systems (Linux / Windows Server). * Experience in performance tuning and query optimization. * English language proficiency. **Required Skills:** * Analytical and problem-solving skills for complex database issues. * High accuracy in handling data. * Time management and organizational skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. * Analytical and logical thinking. **Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):** * Oracle (OCP) or Microsoft SQL Server certifications. * Experience with large-scale databases. * Knowledge of high availability systems such as RAC or Always On. * Cloud computing experience (AWS RDS / Azure SQL). * Monitoring tool experience (e.g., OEM or SQL Profiler). **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Database uptime. * Query speed and system performance. * Reduction in outages and data loss. * Backup and recovery success rate. * Stability of systems dependent on databases. **Work Conditions:** * Office-based or hybrid work environment. * On\-call support may be required for critical systems. * Collaboration with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
