Implement enterprise-grade authentication and authorization protocols **Backend Engineer (Node.js / Scalable Systems)** **Organization:** Stack 249 Tech **Location:** Stack Building, Baushar, Muscat **Remuneration:** OMR 3,000 per month (Total Package) **The Engineering Mandate** Operating from the Stack Building in the rapidly growing Baushar district, Stack 249 Tech is seeking a Backend Engineer to architect the high\-concurrency systems powering our digital platforms. This is a role for a Node.js specialist who understands that backend engineering is about more than just writing code—it’s about building resilient, "always\-on" infrastructure. You will be responsible for the invisible machinery that ensures our Muscat\-based clients experience zero latency and total data integrity. **Backend DNA \& Technical Focus** * **Asynchronous Service Orchestration:** Design and implement highly scalable server\-side logic using Node.js, ensuring efficient handling of concurrent requests and event\-driven workflows. * **API Ecosystem Architecture:** Build and maintain secure, robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs that serve as the backbone for cross\-platform integration within the Baushar facility. * **Database Schema Governance:** Architect complex data models and optimize query performance across SQL and NoSQL environments (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL) to support real\-time data flow. * **System Hardening \& Security:** Implement enterprise\-grade authentication and authorization protocols, ensuring all server\-side assets align with the Sultanate’s data protection standards. **Candidate DNA** * **Professional Foundation:** 5\+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on production\-level Node.js environments. * **Technical Toolkit:** Expert\-level proficiency in TypeScript, Express.js, or NestJS; deep familiarity with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture. * **Linguistic Precision:** Advanced C2\-level proficiency in professional English is required for technical documentation and international team collaboration. * **Asynchronous Communication:** Proficiency in using Loom to record backend architecture walkthroughs and API documentation for frontend and mobile stakeholders. **Work Context** Stack 249 Tech offers a high\-performance environment in the heart of Baushar.
