Dynamic and collaborative work environment Location: Oman Employment Type: Full\-Time **Al Bany International Oman** seeking an experienced **Resident (Construction) Engineer** to provide strategic guidance and operational support for large\-scale real estate facilities and asset management activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing effective facilities management strategies, enhancing operational performance, supporting asset lifecycle management, and ensuring high standards of worker welfare and HSE compliance. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide daily site supervision to ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and project standards. * Monitor contractor performance and ensure construction works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved quality requirements and method statements. * Review and ensure timely submission of construction documentation, including shop drawings, coordination drawings, method statements, and Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs). * Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports highlighting delays, technical issues, risks, and areas requiring management attention. * Attend inspections, material testing, commissioning activities, and verify that Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) are conducted as per approved procedures. * Review and respond to technical queries and Requests for Information (RFIs) to facilitate timely resolution and avoid project delays. * Review contractor material and equipment substitution requests and provide technical recommendations. * Conduct final inspections, prepare snagging reports, issue punch lists, and support Defects Liability Period (DLP) activities until successful close\-out. * Verify completion and submission of handover documentation, including As\-Built drawings, Operation \& Maintenance (O\&M) manuals, warranties, and spare parts lists. * Ensure maintainable assets are properly registered within the approved asset management system to support facilities management and preventive maintenance activities. * Utilize digital project collaboration platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or equivalent systems to manage inspection requests, reports, technical correspondence, and non\-conformance tracking. **Qualifications \& Experience** * Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. * Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil and construction engineering. * At least 6 years of experience in the Middle East working in a similar role on major real estate or infrastructure projects. * Proven experience in construction supervision, contractor management, quality control, and project delivery. * Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, testing procedures, and site management practices. **Technical Requirements** * Knowledge of international construction standards, codes, and specifications including AWS, ASTM, ASME, API, BS, ISO, NEC, and other relevant standards. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation. * Experience in construction inspections, testing, commissioning, and project handover processes. * Familiarity with project collaboration and document management systems such as Aconex, SharePoint Online (SPO), or equivalent. * Strong communication, coordination, and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. * Strong understanding of HSE requirements with the ability to monitor contractor safety compliance on site. **What We Offer** * Opportunity to work on prestigious real estate and infrastructure projects. * Professional growth and career development. * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Dynamic and collaborative work environment.
