Opportunities for career development and industry networking Tourism Development Manager **Company:** Trenturístico de Jerez **Location:** Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Oman **Area:** Al Haffa Heritage Village **Salary:** OMR 1,350 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time Job Overview Trenturístico de Jerez is seeking an experienced and motivated **Tourism Development Manager** to lead initiatives that promote tourism growth, develop attractive visitor experiences, and strengthen the destination’s tourism offerings. The successful candidate will work with local stakeholders, tourism businesses, community organizations, and internal teams to develop sustainable tourism programs and increase visitor engagement. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement tourism development strategies aligned with organizational objectives. * Identify opportunities to attract domestic and international visitors. * Develop and promote tourism products, experiences, attractions, and visitor programs. * Build relationships with hotels, tour operators, travel agencies, government entities, and local businesses. * Coordinate tourism events, cultural activities, promotional campaigns, and destination initiatives. * Conduct market research and analyze visitor trends, competitor destinations, and emerging tourism opportunities. * Develop partnerships that enhance visitor experiences and increase tourism\-related business opportunities. * Support marketing and promotional activities for tourism destinations and attractions. * Monitor visitor feedback and recommend improvements to tourism services and experiences. * Prepare development plans, budgets, reports, and performance presentations for management. * Ensure tourism initiatives consider cultural heritage, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development. * Coordinate with local communities and stakeholders to encourage participation in tourism initiatives. * Monitor project progress, budgets, timelines, and key performance indicators. * Stay informed about tourism regulations, industry trends, and best practices in destination management. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. * Proven experience in tourism development, destination management, hospitality, or a similar managerial role. * Strong knowledge of tourism markets, visitor behavior, destination marketing, and tourism operations. * Excellent project management and stakeholder relationship skills. * Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership abilities. * Ability to develop partnerships with public and private tourism organizations. * Strong analytical and strategic\-thinking skills. * Knowledge of sustainable tourism and cultural heritage management is an advantage. * Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
