Lifeguard - Six Senses Zighy Bay

I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation of all our brand initiatives. **Duties and Responsibilities** As Lifeguard, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: * Maintain continuous surveillance of people in swimming pools, lakes and oceans * Ensure appropriate headcount of people involved in a watersport on an hourly basis * Provide safety information to people prior to them indulging in a water sport * Supervise swimmers to ensure that they are swimming within the safety protocols * Spot hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidents * Control and report unruly behavior and evict individuals not adhering to behavior protocols * Ensure that water sports such as beach volleyball and surfing is done within the parameters of set rules and regulation * Perform first aid and CPR according to the demands of adverse situations * Perform pool chemical checks to ensure safety and hygiene * Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition. * Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded. * Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments. **Qualifications** To execute the position of Lifeguard, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: * High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven references in CPR, emergency medical procedures and current certification as a Lifeguard by a recognized source of training. * Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and skills in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. * If required I will pass a pre\-employment physical skills evaluation as stipulated by the department. * I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status. *The above is intended to provide an overview of the role and responsibilities for a Lifeguard at Six Senses Zighy Bay.
