We are immediately retaining an experienced, operationally sharp **Freight Forwarding Operations Supervisor** to oversee our core transit desk from our primary logistics facility in the Rusayl Industrial Estate. This role requires an assertive logistics professional capable of managing multi\-modal freight workflows, driving carrier accountability, and eliminating transit bottlenecks under strict delivery timelines. Core Areas of Operational Control * **Multi\-Modal Execution:** Direct day\-to\-day air, ocean, and land freight forwarding operations, ensuring seamless movement of commercial cargo through customs clearance and final\-mile distribution points. * **Carrier \& Vendor Management:** Negotiate service level agreements, freight rates, and capacity allocations with global shipping lines, airlines, and local haulage partners to optimize cost and transit efficiency. * **Customs \& Regulatory Compliance:** Enforce absolute adherence to Omani customs laws, manifest documentation standards, and international trade regulations (Incoterms 2020\) to prevent border delays. * **Discrepancy \& Exception Resolution:** Lead rapid\-response troubleshooting for cargo damage, routing delays, or documentation errors, coordinating directly with insurance underwriters and overseas agents. * **Operational Performance Tracking:** Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to on\-time delivery rates, transit times, and operational costs, generating weekly efficiency reports for senior management. Target Qualification Matrix * **Professional Experience:** A minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive operational experience within a freight forwarding, international logistics, or 3PL (Third\-Party Logistics) corporate environment. * **Academic Foundation:** A formal bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related commercial discipline is required. * **Industry Certifications:** Holding an active **FIATA Diploma** or professional freight forwarding certification is heavily favored. * **Technical Toolkit:** Advanced operational mastery of enterprise freight management software (such as CargoWise One) and professional ERP logistics modules, alongside strong capabilities in Microsoft Excel. * **Linguistic Execution:** Flawless professional English reporting and cross\-cultural communication literacy are absolute requirements.
