Job Purpose: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the overall technical management of the generator fleet, including mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, planning, and record keeping. The role ensures generator reliability, compliance, and efficient fleet utilization. * Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and generator mechanics. * Good planning, documentation, and record\-keeping skills. * Ability to analyse faults and implement corrective actions. * Strong coordination and communication skills. Responsibilities * Oversee the mechanical condition and performance of the entire generator fleet. * Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support major breakdowns. * Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules for all generators. * Maintain accurate service history, maintenance records, and technical logs for each generator. * Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and inspections with internal teams and external vendors. * Support commissioning, decommissioning, and deployment of generators. * Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and manufacturer standards. * Provide technical guidance to technicians and operations staff when required.
