We require a Network Security Engineer to take immediate ownership of our perimeter security and internal threat\-mitigation frameworks. This is a hands\-on technical role focused on high\-availability and zero\-trust architecture within the Muscat tech corridor. **Technical Competencies** * **Infrastructure Defense:** Manage and optimize enterprise\-grade firewalls (Fortinet/Palo Alto), ensuring seamless VPN connectivity and intrusion prevention across all Al Khuwair nodes. * **Threat Intelligence:** Lead proactive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate network weaknesses before they can be exploited. * **Protocol Governance:** Enforce strict NAC (Network Access Control) policies and manage secure VLAN segmentation for diverse tenant requirements. * **Security Auditing:** Conduct regular traffic analysis and log reviews to ensure compliance with Oman’s national cybersecurity frameworks. **Candidate Specifications** * **Professional Background:** 6\+ years in dedicated Network Security roles, preferably within an ISP or a high\-volume data center environment in the Middle East. * **Required Licensing:** Valid CCNP Security or PCNSE certification is mandatory for this salary bracket. * **Linguistic Level:** Advanced professional English (C2\) is required for technical documentation and vendor coordination. * **Reporting:** Ability to provide asynchronous updates on security posture and network health via Loom for executive review. **Work Context** Datacom Oman offers a high\-influence position within the Business District Tower.
