* **Job Description: Procurement SpecialistPosition:** Procurement Specialist * **Location: Muscat** **Purpose of the Role:** We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team for a building construction project. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in the Oman market, a strong understanding of procurement processes, and the ability to source materials and services efficiently. **Key Responsibilities:** **If you meet the above requirements and are eager to contribute to a dynamic construction project, we encourage you to apply.** * **Procurement Planning and Execution:** * Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets. * Identify and source quality materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. * **Supplier Management:** * Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers, vendors, and contractors. * Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts to ensure cost\-effectiveness. * Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved vendor list. * **Market Analysis:** * Conduct market research to identify competitive pricing, availability, and quality of construction materials and equipment. * Stay updated on market trends, regulations, and best practices in Oman’s construction sector. * **Compliance and Documentation:** * Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and Oman regulations. * Prepare and maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and budgets. * **Logistics and Coordination:** * Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to ensure project requirements are met. * Work closely with project managers and engineers to address procurement\-related issues. * **Risk Management:** * Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. * Resolve conflicts or discrepancies in procurement processes. * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. * **Experience:** Minimum of three years of procurement experience in Oman, preferably in the construction industry. * **Skills:** * Strong negotiation and communication skills. * Proficiency in procurement software and tools. * Excellent organisational and time\-management skills. * **License:** Valid Oman driving license is mandatory. * Full\-time position based on\-site or at the project location. * Involves frequent travel within Oman for supplier meetings and inspections.
