We develop both proprietary software platforms and tailor\-made solutions that help clients improve operational efficiency, measurement accuracy, asset performance, and decision\-making across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in software engineering, AI, industrial data systems, and flow measurement to deliver solutions ranging from data acquisition and visualization platforms to advanced analytics, engineering applications, digitalization projects, and intelligent decision\-support tools. In addition to supporting hydrocarbon production, transportation, refining, and export operations, we work with water treatment facilities, industrial plants, and other critical infrastructure. **Role Description** This is a full\-time, on\-site Software Engineer position based in Muscat. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain engineering software applications, AI\-enabled solutions, and industrial data platforms for clients in the oil and gas and industrial sectors. Responsibilities include developing back\-end services and APIs, integrating applications with industrial equipment, SCADA systems, historians, and metering systems, designing scalable software architectures, implementing data processing and analytics pipelines, and ensuring high standards of performance, security, and reliability. The role involves close collaboration with metering, process, and software engineers to translate complex engineering requirements into robust software solutions. Depending on project requirements, the engineer may also contribute to AI model development, industrial data analytics, digitalization initiatives, and the creation of bespoke engineering applications. The successful candidate will participate in system design, code reviews, testing, technical documentation, and the continuous improvement of LAMAD's software products and client\-specific solutions. **Experience Requirements** * 1 to 3 years of professional experience in software development, software engineering, or a related technical role. * Relevant internships, research projects, or substantial personal/open\-source projects may be considered for exceptional candidates. **Qualifications** * Solid foundation in Computer Science and core Software Development principles * Strong Programming and Object\-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills * Experience in Back\-End Web Development and building APIs or micro\-services * Familiarity with databases, data modeling, and integration with industrial or IoT systems is beneficial * Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well\-documented code, with experience using version control tools (e.g., Git) * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with attention to detail in data integrity and system reliability * Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross\-functional engineering teams on\-site in Muscat Education: * Bachelor's (Required) Work Location: In person
