At our hotels, these associates work to create a memorable and unique experience—beyond just spa services. Our spa specialists take initiative and offer a wide range of services to ensure our guests' experiences are unforgettable. Whether promoting spa services or retail sales, taking reservations and confirming appointments, answering questions about services, checking guests in, or processing payments, the spa specialist ensures that transactions feel like part of the overall experience. Regardless of your position, certain things are essential for success—creating a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures, meeting quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications remain professional. The spa specialist role requires being on your feet and moving (standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods); navigating sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces; operating reservation software (visually reading and verifying information); and performing hands-on tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) unassisted and 25 pounds (11.4 kg) with assistance; reaching above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping). It is essential that spa specialists perform all these tasks flawlessly (along with any other reasonable tasks assigned)—ensuring our guests remain satisfied and our business continues to thrive.
