Seat guests at an available and clean table, pull out chairs, and place a current and clean menu in front of each guest. Guide guests through the dining room and assist them as needed. Move and arrange tables and chairs, adjust overall layout, and manage seating for groups with special needs. Verify that seating is appropriate and that each guest has a napkin, clean silverware, and all other standard items. Ensure there are sufficient menus available and that they are current, clean, and wrinkle-free. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day and follow ongoing cleaning procedures. Monitor availability of seating in dining rooms, service, safety, and guest well-being. Follow and apply all chain safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and any working conditions deemed hazardous; complete training and obtain required safety certifications. Ensure a clean and complete uniform is worn; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times while on property; respect confidentiality when sharing brand- and/or hotel-specific information and protect all company assets. Welcome and receive all guests in accordance with brand standards. Use clear and courteous language in all communications; answer the phone using appropriate language. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers; work together and support one another to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees' concerns. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods of time.
