Professional and collaborative technology environment IT Infrastructure Specialist **Company:** Nusrat Bilisim **Location:** Ruwi Business District, Muscat, Muscat Governorate, Oman **Salary:** OMR 1,650 per month **Job Type:** Full\-time Job Summary Nusrat Bilisim is seeking a skilled **IT Infrastructure Specialist** to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize the organization’s technology infrastructure. The successful candidate will support servers, networks, systems, hardware, software, backups, and infrastructure security while ensuring reliable IT services for employees and business operations. Typical IT infrastructure roles include system monitoring, hardware and software installation, troubleshooting, security, backup management, and infrastructure maintenance. Key Responsibilities * Manage and maintain servers, network infrastructure, storage systems, and related IT equipment. * Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and connectivity. * Configure and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, Wi\-Fi, VPN, routers, switches, and firewalls. * Administer Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. * Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems and business applications. * Support virtualization platforms and virtual machines. * Implement and maintain appropriate IT security controls and access\-management procedures. * Monitor backup systems and assist with disaster recovery and business continuity activities. * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and infrastructure incidents. * Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, assets, and maintenance procedures. * Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and support infrastructure projects. * Assist with hardware and software procurement, installation, upgrades, and replacements. * Perform routine system health checks and proactively identify potential infrastructure problems. * Provide technical support to employees and escalate complex issues when necessary. * Recommend infrastructure improvements that increase reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * 3\+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network administration, or a similar role. * Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments. * Practical understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, and network security. * Experience with server administration, virtualization, backups, and infrastructure monitoring. * Familiarity with Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, and endpoint management is an advantage. * Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem\-solving skills. * Excellent communication and technical documentation abilities. * Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical and non\-technical teams.
