Involves testing, commissioning, and fault rectification at site and workshop Job Purpose: The generator technician will be primarily responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of generator electrical systems, with particular focus on the DC side. The role also requires willingness and capability to support mechanical works related to generators when required. * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics. * Strong troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills. * Basic working knowledge of mechanical systems related to generators. * Willingness to work flexible hours and attend emergency breakdowns. Responsibilities * Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in diesel generators, including DC charging systems, batteries, control wiring, sensors, AVR, and control panels. * Carry out testing, commissioning, and fault rectification at site and workshop. * Support mechanical servicing and minor mechanical repairs as required. * Attend breakdown calls and ensure timely resolution of generator issues. * Perform preventive maintenance in line with company standards and OEM guidelines. * Prepare service and breakdown reports and maintain accurate documentation. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
