Proactive patching, indexing, and query optimization for databases **Position: Database Administrator (DBA)** **Location:** High Street Plaza, Ruwi, Muscat **Organization:** InfoEtec Systems **Compensation:** OMR 2,600 monthly (Total Package) **Mission Critical** Based at our Ruwi High Street Plaza headquarters, this role is responsible for the absolute stability and performance of InfoEtec’s data architecture. We are seeking a DBA who prioritizes zero\-downtime environments and can manage complex data migration projects without disrupting core business operations in the Sultanate. **Functional Requirements** * **Engine Maintenance:** Daily administration of MS SQL and Oracle environments, including proactive patching, indexing, and query optimization. * **Security \& Recovery:** Implementation of rigorous backup/restore protocols and disaster recovery testing to meet Omani data protection standards. * **Infrastructure Scaling:** Capacity planning and performance monitoring to ensure the High Street Plaza data center remains responsive under high\-volume transaction loads. * **Cloud Hybridization:** Assisting in the secure transition of on\-premise databases to hybrid cloud environments where required. **The Professional Profile** * **Career History:** 5\+ years of dedicated DBA experience within the financial or information technology sectors of the Middle East. * **Technical Certifications:** Current OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) or MCSA: SQL Server credentials are required. * **Language Standards:** C2\-level professional English for documenting technical procedures and high\-level reporting. * **Video Reporting:** Ability to use Loom to provide concise asynchronous updates on database health and project milestones to stakeholders. **The Ruwi Advantage** Joining InfoEtec in the Ruwi business district places you at the commercial heart of Muscat.
