Growth-oriented and performance-driven culture The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of materials, components, and services required for the manufacturing of power and distribution transformers. The role demands strong technical understanding, vendor management capability, and cost optimization skills to ensure uninterrupted production and quality compliance. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Strategic Sourcing \& Procurement** * Source and procure critical raw materials such as CRGO steel, copper, aluminum, insulation materials, transformer oil, bushings, OLTCs, and other components * Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production plans and cost targets * Identify and onboard reliable vendors, both local and international **2\. Vendor Management** * Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, and delivery performance * Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews * Build long\-term relationships with key vendors to ensure supply continuity **3\. Technical Evaluation** * Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs for procurement requirements * Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure material compliance with technical standards * Participate in techno\-commercial evaluations of vendor proposals **4\. Cost Optimization \& Negotiation** * Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers * Analyze market trends and identify cost\-saving opportunities * Implement value engineering and alternative sourcing strategies **5\. Inventory \& Supply Chain Coordination** * Ensure timely availability of materials to meet production schedules * Monitor inventory levels and minimize excess or obsolete stock * Coordinate with logistics for import/export documentation and shipment tracking **6\. Quality \& Compliance** * Ensure procured materials meet required quality standards and specifications * Work closely with QA/QC teams for inspections and approvals * Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards **7\.
