Managing maintenance teams and coordinating with production departments **Senior Maintenance Engineer** **Job Purpose:** Supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous, high-efficiency equipment operation and minimize breakdowns, in compliance with the quality and safety standards adopted in the Sultanate of Oman. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement preventive and periodic maintenance plans for equipment. * Supervise corrective maintenance work and fault repairs. * Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of failures and propose solutions. * Improve equipment performance and reduce downtime. * Manage maintenance teams, assign tasks, and monitor performance. * Coordinate with production departments to ensure operational continuity. * Monitor spare parts consumption and manage inventory. * Prepare technical reports and performance reports for senior management. * Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards. * Participate in installation and commissioning of new equipment. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent). * Minimum 7–12 years of experience in industrial maintenance. * Familiarity with maintenance management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). * Experience in failure analysis and preventive maintenance management. * Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO. **Required Skills:** * Leadership and team management skills. * Strong problem analysis and decision-making abilities. * Time management and organizational skills. * Ability to work under pressure. * Effective communication skills. **Work Environment:** * Work in factories or operational sites (e.g., oil & gas, power plants). * May require shift work or continuous field presence. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Reduction in downtime. * Extended equipment lifespan and improved efficiency. * Adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. * Reduction in maintenance costs. * Safety performance and reduction in incidents.
