Waitress Duties & Responsibilities Guest Service Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables. Present menus and explain daily specials or promotions. Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly. Serve food and drinks in a professional, courteous manner. Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues immediately. Handle guest complaints politely and report major issues to the supervisor or manager. Table Maintenance Set up tables with cutlery, napkins, glassware, and condiments before service. Clear tables efficiently after each course and reset for the next guests. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of dining area at all times. Polish cutlery and glassware as needed. Order & Coordination Input orders accurately into the POS system. Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff for timely service. Ensure all special requests or dietary requirements are correctly handled. Deliver bills to guests and process payments correctly. Teamwork & Standards Support fellow servers and maintain smooth coordination during busy periods. Follow grooming and uniform standards at all times. Attend daily briefings and participate in service training sessions. Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations. End of Shift Duties Assist in closing duties: cleaning, refilling condiments, and restocking items. Report any breakages, losses, or customer incidents to management. Ensure all tables and stations are ready for the next service.
