Adjust temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Retrieve food items from freezers and thaw them in refrigerators. Portion and plate food appropriately. Maintain food records. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food. Communicate required support during peak periods. Inform chefs of leftover ingredients for use in daily specials. Notify food and beverage service staff about special menus or out-of-stock items. Ensure ingredient quality. Cook in accordance with recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and cooking checklists. Prepare cold foods. Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees—always serving as a role model. Comply fully with all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and hazardous working conditions to managers. Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional. Anticipate and respond to guest service needs; communicate clearly and professionally with others. Listen attentively to fellow employees’ concerns and respond appropriately; ensure consistent adherence to expected quality and standards. Frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, lift, pull, squat, and reach overhead or below knee level. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds unassisted. Perform other appropriate duties as requested by supervisors. Perform other reasonable duties as required by management.
