Job Summary: Design, develop, and manage legal technology systems to support operations, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations and laws in the Sultanate of Oman. Automation of legal processes and ensuring compliance with regulations **Legal Tech Systems Engineer** **Purpose of the Role:** Design, develop, and manage legal technology (Legal Tech) systems to support legal operations, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulations and laws in the Sultanate of Oman. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement Case \& Contract Management Systems. * Analyze legal teams’ requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. * Integrate legal systems with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM). * Manage legal document databases and ensure their security and confidentiality. * Automate legal processes such as contract review and workflows. * Ensure compliance with local and international data protection regulations. * Monitor system performance and continuously optimize it. * Support users (lawyers and legal staff) and train them on the systems. * Collaborate with Legal Tech solution providers and evaluate new systems. * Prepare technical reports and analyze legal data. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (a legal background or experience in the legal domain is preferred). * Minimum 5–10 years of experience in developing or managing technical systems. * Knowledge of Legal Tech systems such as eDiscovery, contract management, or case management. * Solid understanding of data protection regulations and compliance (Compliance). * Experience in system integration and APIs. **Required Skills:** * Strong analytical skills bridging the technical and legal domains. * Effective communication skills when interacting with legal and technical teams. * Ability to manage technical projects. * Attention to detail and high accuracy. * Ability to solve complex problems. **Work Environment:** * Work in law firms, consulting firms, or legal departments within organizations. * Office-based environment with continuous interaction with legal and technical teams. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Efficiency of legal systems and process improvement. * Security and confidentiality level of legal data. * User satisfaction among legal teams. * Reduction in time required to complete legal processes. * Compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
