Mentor and supervise Mechanical Technicians and Helpers **MECHANICAL ENGINEER** **ROLE SUMMARY** We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the maintenance team. The successful candidate will provide expert mechanical engineering support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the power plant. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Lead inspection and maintenance of mechanical systems including turbines, pumps, compressors, and HVAC units. * Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair failures in machinery and rotating equipment to minimize downtime. * Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs in line with plant schedules. * Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, and alignment checks. * Ensure all mechanical work adheres to safety standards including Lock\-Out/Tag\-Out (LOTO), PPE usage, and confined space procedures. * Review technical drawings, manuals, and specifications to guide maintenance activities. * Report deviations from standard operating procedures to the plant management immediately. * Mentor and supervise Mechanical Technicians and Helpers on the team. * Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and technical reports. * Support emergency mobilization within six (6\) hours when required. **QUALIFICATIONS \& EXPERIENCE** ✓ Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. ✓ Minimum 5 years of hands\-on experience in power plants or similar industrial environments. ✓ Proven experience working with motors, transformers, turbines, pumps, and generators. ✓ Strong knowledge of rotating equipment maintenance and fault diagnosis. ✓ Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). ✓ Valid certifications in safety (LOTO, confined space, PPE) preferred.
