Senior Concept Engineer will execute the activities and processes associated with Business Development for feasibility, concept and pre\-FEED studies that include Liquid Hydrogen, Fertilizers, Midstream, Petrochemical opportunities, under Business Development scope. Apply and expand hands\-on experience in Technical and Commercial development of these projects industries and business in Oman. The position will play a key role in evaluating and selection options, defining and framing and driving the strategies, design basis, and energy and utility infrastructure via a compelling business case. The engineer shall possess excellent creative engineering and commercial skills, conceptual and strategic thinking, project and stakeholder management with strong leadership qualities, and with knowledge and experience in cost and opex estimating, technologies and processing including cryogenic operations, liquification, storage and handling of feedstock and products, transportation, and with abilities to oversee the development of the opportunity in Oman. **Designing the future. Reimbursement should be claimed via the expenses procedure system, with supporting evidence. * **Global connections** : join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession **Typical responsibilities** Responsible for supporting, executing and managing general activities of the opportunity development including: * Lead the development process from initiation to conceptual and pre\-FEED design (basis of design) * Framing the Business Opportunity * Development of Project Initiation Notes along with the supporting business case and definition and implementation of the opportunities. * Develop a project portfolio framework for business opportunity * Conceptual design of the process facilities, utilities and offsites, storage and dispensing systems. * Identification and selection of optimum technologies and design including techno commercial assessment * Collaborate with others to develop and integrate production, storage, transportation, loading and unloading systems. * Assess the project’s logistics requirements and recommend the most efficient and cost ‑ effective options. * Work with suppliers to identify the most efficient and cost\-effective components for liquid hydrogen systems. * Design of the identified and selected concept options * Evaluate equipment and processes to optimize performance and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations * Develop operating, measurement and control philosophies and organization for the integrated facilities integrating stakeholders and future plans * Manage commitments and timelines and provide presentation and strategies to leadership team * Manage the development and design of energy conservation projects * Conduct site inspection, visits and meetings with stakeholders in Oman. * Engage with other suppliers of feedstock and utilities to secure competitive supply for the project. * Secure land and utilities from the land and port authorities. * Engage with commercial and legal advisors as appropriate to manage the risks of the project and overall supply chain * Developing Capex Class V and IV and Opex cost estimates. * Develop scope for FEED study, market analysis, and Class IV cost estimate to prepare FEED packages. * Work with technology licensors to create ITTs for technical and commercial proposals. * Pre\-qualify vendors and evaluate bidders' proposals technically, commercially, and contractually. * Engage in Value Engineering activities to identify and implement optimization opportunities. * Engage in Risk Assessment exercise to identify risks and develop mitigation plans as appropriate. * Align project plan and deliverables with co\-developers. * Engage selected Consultants and Vendors for engineering study and monitor progress and quality of deliverables. * Develop bankable commercial structure and work with treasury to engage financial advisors in securing bank and ECA fundings * Prepare needed documentation and provide support in Peer Reviews as required for approval stages of the projects * Prepare needed documentation to seek required Investment Committee, Board approvals as and when needed **What makes you remarkable?** At Wood, we are committed to equal opportunities and welcome all talented individuals to consider joining our team.
