Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. **Senior Quality Assurance Engineer** **Job Purpose:** Ensuring the quality of products, systems, or services through the design and implementation of tests and quality standards, and optimizing processes to ensure compliance with local and international specifications and standards in the Sultanate of Oman. **Responsibilities and Duties:** * Developing and implementing Quality Assurance (QA) plans and strategies. * Preparing test cases and executing system or product testing. * Monitoring process and product quality, identifying and analyzing defects. * Documenting test results and preparing technical reports. * Collaborating with development or production teams to resolve bugs and improve performance. * Applying international quality standards such as ISO or Six Sigma (as applicable to the domain). * Improving and automating testing processes using QA tools. * Participating in design and requirements reviews to ensure quality from the outset. * Managing and tracking defects using tools such as Jira or others. * Training and mentoring less experienced QA team members. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance. * Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (Manual & Automation Testing). * Experience with testing or defect management tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Jira). * Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or industrial processes (depending on sector). **Required Skills:** * Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail. * Ability to troubleshoot and identify defects. * Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams. * Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities. * Leadership and team mentoring skills. **Work Environment:** * Technical or industrial environment depending on company type. * Working within multidisciplinary development or production teams. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Percentage of defects detected before release. * Final product or system quality. * Reduction of post-release defects. * Efficiency of testing and automation processes. * Adherence to testing timelines.
