The Senior Draftsman works closely with structural and highway engineers to translate design intent into working drawings, reinforcement details, and quantity documentation, ensuring all outputs conform to applicable Gulf and Oman Highway Standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed working and construction drawings for road structures including retaining walls, culverts, rigid pavement, slope protection works, and associated ancillary structures. Develop reinforcement detail drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in accordance with project specifications and applicable standards. Carry out quantity take\-offs from drawings to support cost estimation, material procurement, and progress measurement. Review and interpret design calculations, sketches, and engineering instructions to produce accurate drafting outputs. Coordinate with structural and highway design engineers to resolve technical queries and incorporate design revisions. Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and proper filing of all drafting documentation in line with project quality management procedures. Ensure all drawings comply with the structural provisions of Gulf/Oman Highway Standards and relevant international codes. Assist in the preparation of as\-built drawings based on site feedback and survey data. Mentor and guide junior draftsmen, reviewing their outputs for accuracy and standard compliance.
