Training employees on safety procedures **Site Safety Engineer** **Job Summary:** Responsible for ensuring the application of occupational health and safety standards at worksites (particularly construction or industrial project sites), through developing and implementing safety policies, mitigating risks, and ensuring all personnel comply with preventive procedures. **Duties and Responsibilities:** * Implementing and monitoring occupational health and safety systems on-site. * Conducting risk assessments and establishing control plans. * Performing regular inspection rounds to ensure compliance with safety procedures. * Investigating incidents and injuries and preparing required reports. * Developing emergency and evacuation plans and ensuring team readiness. * Training employees and workers on safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Ensuring contractors’ and suppliers’ compliance with safety standards. * Coordinating with regulatory authorities and complying with local and international regulations. * Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports. * Halting unsafe work activities when necessary and taking corrective actions. **Qualifications and Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Mechanical) or a related field. * Minimum 3–7 years of experience in occupational safety, preferably in construction or oil & gas sites. * Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are a strong advantage. * Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations. * Ability to identify risks and make prompt decisions. * Proficiency in English (Arabic is an added advantage). **Required Skills:** * Risk analysis and problem-solving skills. * Effective communication and training skills. * Attention to detail and accuracy in work. * Ability to work under pressure and in field environments. **Additional Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with safety management systems such as ISO 45001\. * Familiarity with reporting software and incident management systems. * Experience working on international projects or in multinational environments.
