Job Summary
Modern Explorer Company is looking for an experienced Chiller Technician to install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair chillers and related HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate should have strong hands\-on experience with chilled water systems, compressors, refrigerant circuits, electrical controls, pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, valves, sensors, and BMS interfaces.
The candidate should be able to diagnose faults independently, perform preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and prepare clear service reports.
Key Responsibilities
The technician will be responsible for:
* Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance for air\-cooled and water\-cooled chillers.
* Troubleshooting faults related to high pressure, low pressure, compressor trip, low chilled water flow, freezing, abnormal noise, poor cooling, electrical trips, sensor faults, and control alarms.
* Inspecting and servicing compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, filters, strainers, fans, pumps, valves, and refrigerant circuits.
* Checking refrigerant pressure, oil level, superheat, subcooling, chilled water temperature, condenser water temperature, and system performance.
* Performing leak checks, refrigerant recovery, evacuation, vacuum testing, and gas charging where permitted.
* Maintaining chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, and related HVAC accessories.
* Reading electrical wiring diagrams, control diagrams, and HVAC schematics.
* Testing contactors, overloads, relays, sensors, pressure switches, flow switches, VFDs, and control panels.
* Supporting installation, testing, commissioning, and startup of HVAC systems.
* Coordinating with supervisors, clients, and other site teams during maintenance and breakdown work.
* Preparing service reports, maintenance checklists, spare parts requests, and fault diagnosis reports.

Required Experience
A good candidate should have:
* **Hands\-on experience** in chiller maintenance and HVAC systems.
* Experience with **air\-cooled and/or water\-cooled chillers**.
* Knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion valves, refrigerant circuits, chilled water systems, and control panels.
* Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical faults.
* Ability to use pressure gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery machines, clamp meters, multimeters, thermometers, and basic HVAC diagnostic tools.
* Ability to read wiring diagrams and HVAC drawings.
