Summary: Leads and manages safety functions, develops and implements health and safety policies, and ensures compliance with regulations across projects. Highlights: 1. Provides overall leadership and management to the safety function 2. Develops and implements comprehensive health and safety policies 3. Acts as on-site Safety Manager for projects in UAE 1\. Provides overall leadership and management to the safety function ensuring corporate objectives are met for safety across assigned area. 2\. Develop and ensure compliance with training requirements across projects. 3\. Provides feedback to directors and guidance \& advice to project management on safety 4\. Create and develop health and safety policies 5\. Implement and monitor health and safety policies 6\. For all projects within UAE act as on\-site Safety Manager to prevent workplace accidents and promotes health and safety awareness and education to fellow employees. You will be responsible for making sure that employees follow health and safety laws and creating policies for a safer work environment. 7\. Develop, obtain client approval and implement projects’ Accident Prevention plans, Environmental protection plans, and Safety \& Health Plans as required per each project requirements. 8\. Ensure compliance with corporate, Country and USACE safety regulations. 9\. Audit existing projects for corporate and federal safety standard compliance 10\. Update safety and health policies and procedures. 11\. Conduct incident investigations of injuries, environmental events and equipment accidents 12\. Develop safety training programs and train employees in safe operating procedures, emergency response, reviewing accident reports, reviewing inspection results, and advising the Project Manager on matters concerning the health and safety of employees. 13\. Perform various types of area or personnel monitoring to verify worker exposure and ensure the proper selection of personal protective equipment (PPE). 14\. Apply professional competence with specialized knowledge of health and safety on construction projects particularly with large excavations, hazardous soil disposal, backfilling and site restoration, commensurate with level of experience. 15\. Provide guidance and mentoring to on\-site Team to ensure safe practices are being implemented at assigned sites 16\. Remotely Preform all assigned duties to safety manger, wherever possible at assigned sites. 17\. Regularly Engages with Client USACE COR \& PE, MVL Staff \& Colleagues and Subcontractors to ensure approved Safety Plans (APP \& AHA) are being followed t as per contract requirements.
