Job Summary
The Industrial Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure the timely, cost\-effective, and efficient sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for industrial operations and projects. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, optimizes purchasing processes, and ensures compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with operational and project requirements.
* Manage the sourcing and purchasing of industrial materials, equipment, machinery, spare parts, and services.
* Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery performance.
* Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements with suppliers.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and strategic partners.
* Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans when necessary.
* Lead procurement activities from requisition through purchase order completion and delivery.
* Ensure timely availability of materials to support production, maintenance, and project schedules.
* Review technical specifications, quotations, and commercial proposals.
* Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance, and project teams to optimize procurement decisions.
* Manage procurement budgets, cost savings initiatives, and supplier negotiations.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop procurement reports, spend analysis, forecasts, and performance metrics.
* Manage procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions and vendor dependencies.
* Lead and mentor procurement staff to improve team performance and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of **5–8 years** of experience in industrial procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.
* Proven experience managing procurement activities for manufacturing, engineering, construction, energy, or industrial sectors.
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost control.
* Experience sourcing industrial equipment, machinery, raw materials, spare parts, or technical services.
* Strong understanding of supply chain principles and inventory management.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem\-solving skills.
* Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), and Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines.
