




Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced accountant in the wholesale and retail sector to manage financial records, prepare reports, and monitor costs and inventory. Key Job Highlights: 1. Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and ERP software Accountant – Wholesale & Retail Sector *Key Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and record daily journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly/annual accounts. 2. Manage supplier and customer accounts, and track accounts receivable and payable. 3. Monitor daily sales revenue (cash and electronic), ensuring report alignment with the accounting system and Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals. 4. Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement). 5. Analyze material and inventory costs, monitor variances to reduce waste and improve profitability. Oversee periodic inventory counts and reconcile them with system records. 6. Review purchase invoices and expense documents to ensure compliance with financial policies. 7. Coordinate with branch managers on daily sales and cash expense reports. *Qualifications & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; minimum 7 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in the Sultanate of Oman. Thorough knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and ERP accounting software. Proficiency in financial reporting, financial analysis, and cash flow management. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to build analytical spreadsheets. High accuracy and strong time-management skills. Experience collaborating across the accounting cycle. Experience working with Microsoft software. Experience working with ERP accounting software. Preferred: Experience in wholesale distribution and retail stores.
