Professional development and career advancement opportunities Job Overview BMRW is seeking an experienced and strategic Maritime Logistics Director to lead and optimize the company's maritime logistics operations. The successful candidate will oversee vessel scheduling, cargo movement, port operations, supply chain coordination, and regulatory compliance while ensuring operational efficiency and cost\-effective logistics solutions. This leadership role requires excellent decision\-making skills, strong industry knowledge, and the ability to manage cross\-functional teams in a dynamic maritime environment. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement maritime logistics strategies that improve operational efficiency and service delivery. * Oversee vessel scheduling, cargo planning, shipping documentation, and freight operations. * Coordinate with port authorities, customs agencies, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners. * Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements. * Monitor logistics performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements. * Manage departmental budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships. * Lead, mentor, and evaluate logistics personnel while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. * Identify and mitigate operational risks that could impact supply chain performance. * Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless cargo movement. * Prepare reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. * Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) is preferred. * Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in maritime logistics, shipping, port operations, or supply chain management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. * Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and maritime safety standards. * Demonstrated experience managing large\-scale logistics operations and multidisciplinary teams. * Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation, and problem\-solving skills. * Strong communication and leadership abilities with experience working across diverse stakeholders. * Proficiency in logistics management systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office applications. * Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are considered an advantage. Preferred Qualifications * Professional certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Maritime Operations (e.g., APICS/ASCM, CILT, or equivalent). * Experience working in major commercial ports or international shipping organizations. * Proven track record of implementing operational improvements and reducing logistics costs.
