We are seeking a sharp, high\-urgency **Marine Terminal Operations Coordinator** to manage the complex logistics, berth allocations, and ship\-to\-shore activities at our Port of Sohar terminal. This role requires split\-second decision\-making under real\-time operational pressure. You will be the central nerve center connecting incoming vessels, marine pilots, port authorities, and stevedoring crews. Core Responsibilities * **Vessel \& Berth Scheduling:** Coordinate precise arrival, berthing, and departure schedules for diverse commercial vessels, minimizing anchorage wait times and optimizing berth utilization. * **Ship\-to\-Shore Coordination:** Act as the primary interface between vessel masters, marine agents, and terminal cargo handlers to ensure safe, highly efficient loading and discharging sequences. * **Regulatory \& Customs Compliance:** Manage, review, and clear all manifest documentations, port clearances, and health/safety declarations with Omani port customs and border authorities. * **Live Incident \& Delay Mitigation:** Rapidly resolve operational bottlenecks—such as equipment constraints, weather delays, or shifting stowage plans—to avoid costly demurrage fees. * **Terminal Data Stewardship:** Log and analyze real\-time port metrics, vessel productivity stats, and fuel/bunkering allocations to draft accurate end\-of\-voyage performance profiles. Experience \& Critical Requirements * **Industry Experience:** 3–5 years of direct, hands\-on experience in marine terminal operations, vessel port agency work, or container/bulk cargo coordination. * **Maritime Knowledge:** Solid understanding of international maritime regulations (ISPS, IMDG codes), port operations, and standard charter\-party agreements. * **Systems Familiarity:** Experience using Port Management Information Systems (PMIS), Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) monitoring software, or advanced terminal operating systems (TOS). * **Work Style:** Exceptional spatial and logistical tracking abilities, a calm\-under\-pressure demeanor, and the flexibility to work rotating shifts aligned with shipping schedules. * **Communication:** Flawless operational English (written and verbal) is non\-negotiable for international vessel communications. Competency in Arabic is highly advantageous for local port authority liaisons.
