Resolve complex technical issues and support production systems **Lead Backend Engineer** **Purpose of the Role:** Lead backend development for systems and applications, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure systems that efficiently support business needs in accordance with best software engineering practices. **Responsibilities:** * Lead backend development team and provide technical guidance to engineers. * Design and build high-performance, scalable backend systems. * Develop, manage, and maintain APIs (REST / GraphQL). * Design, engineer, and optimize database performance. * Ensure system security and data protection. * Improve application performance and reduce latency. * Establish engineering standards (Coding Standards \& Best Practices). * Conduct code reviews and ensure technical quality. * Collaborate with Frontend and DevOps teams to ensure system integration. * Participate in system architecture planning. * Resolve complex technical issues and support production systems. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 7–12 years of software development experience, including leadership experience. * Strong experience with backend languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, .NET, or Go. * Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL). * Knowledge of Microservices and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Experience with CI/CD and DevOps (strongly preferred). **Required Skills:** * Strong leadership and advanced technical skills. * Strong system design capabilities. * Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities. **Work Environment:** * Modern and dynamic software development environment. * Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Frontend, DevOps, QA). * Hybrid or remote work options available per company policy. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):** * Backend system performance and stability. * Feature delivery velocity. * Reduction of production errors and outages. * Code quality and maintainability. * Successful implementation of scalable architecture.
