Role Overview We are seeking an accomplished **Bioinformatics Lead** to oversee bioinformatics projects, manage data pipelines, and drive innovation in computational biology. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to align bioinformatics strategies with organizational and research goals. Key Responsibilities * **Genomics Data Analysis**: Lead analysis of large\-scale genomic and proteomic datasets. * **Pipeline Development**: Design and implement scalable bioinformatics workflows. * **System Integration**: Ensure seamless integration of bioinformatics tools with clinical and research systems. * **Data Management**: Oversee secure storage, processing, and retrieval of biological data. * **Collaboration**: Work closely with researchers, clinicians, and IT teams. * **Innovation**: Introduce new computational methods and tools to enhance research capabilities. * **Team Leadership**: Mentor and guide bioinformatics staff to achieve excellence. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred). * 8\+ years of experience in bioinformatics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. * Strong knowledge of **bioinformatics tools** (BLAST, GATK, Bioconductor, etc.). * Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, Perl) and data visualization frameworks. * Experience with cloud computing, HPC environments, and big data analytics. * Excellent analytical, communication, and problem\-solving skills. * Proven ability to deliver bioinformatics solutions in multinational or regional environments, ideally within the GCC.
